The Vision
Prontopia allows anyone to create amazing videos in less than 60 seconds. Well, our original audience wasn't anyone. we first designed it for small business owners, and it grew from there. So let use that's Will Feldman, Ash Shehryar and Sherry Akhtar, the founders tell you a bit about how this project came to life.
Will has run an award-winning video production studio for over a decade, and it frustrated him that so many small business owners simply couldn't afford the costs of professional production. Sherry has had a long career building cutting-edge artificial intelligence tools for a variety of industries. Ash is an award winning creative who has worked with some of the top brands in the world.
For us, the idea of automating high-quality video production was not an abstract exercise. It was conceived as a real solution for real people whose real businesses needed the jolt that quality video marketing would provide them, but who didn't have big marketing budgets. Florists, barbers, car mechanics—the people we know and love that form the heart and soul of the communities we live in.
The Team
To realize our vision we built an extraordinarily talented team of dedicated engineers, designers, and dreamers. Our headquarters is in Denver, but we look for talent wherever it is—across the United States and around the world. Our team has all shapes, colors, and sizes. Not because we went looking for that, but because talent and passion are simply unrelated to superficial characteristics. We know the DNA of the pond will determine the DNA of the ocean, so we carefully picked passionate people who lead from the heart. People who have an instinctual service mindset. We make sure every employee shares in the success of the company, because we know that if we take care of the employees, they’ll take care of the product, they’ll take care of the customers, and in turn, the entire company will take care of everyone involved in it.
The Growth
As we began gathering customer feedback on early versions of Prontopia, we quickly realized that we had tapped into enormous unmet need, not just among small business owners but far beyond as well. Advertising agencies began calling. Brands, franchises, nonprofits, and companies of all sizes wanted to sign up. So we started building to meet the required features. As our vision expands to serve everyone, we joke that our road map resembles an atlas.
This Is Us
The heart of our vision remains the small business owner, but we are thrilled by every customer discovering a new way to use the platform we built. Every time we hear from a customer who just created a great video affordably, no experience needed, we know that all of the late nights and cups of coffee were worth it.
