Shannon Kenny is a historian and social entrepreneur with a background in Travel; Education; and Communications with over 20 years experience leading international, cross-cultural ventures to success. Shannon’s research on medieval and Renaissance Europe chronicled the rise of the city state, based on a fascination with urban humanistic views on living together in harmony. Shannon loves the freedom and invigoration of walking in the city wherever she goes. She dreams of reinventing ancient ideas of civitas through Prontopia as a location-based mobile solution for life in walkable cities that creates positive global-local impacts through meaningful human connections.

Davis Brimer is a social entrepreneur with an engineering background across multiple technology industries. Located in California and Italy, Davis is passionate about growing conscious companies to the greater benefit of all. Over the past decade while traveling the world as founding CEO of an innovative medical tech company, Davis found the most meaningful experiences resulted from human connections. Davis enjoys walking with feet on the ground and eyes wide open because it allows him to connect, learn, and discover the world in ways otherwise not possible. When not wandering streets and mountains, as a former DJ, Davis is passionate about discovering new artists and loves experiencing live music as a place where people of all walks of life connect.

Ilaria Nardone is an experienced digital marketer with a master’s degree in political communication and many years of working and living experience abroad. Born and raised in Venice, Ilaria spent the last 5 years working in Asia in the digital and social marketing industry related to hospitality; she decided to come back to live in her beautiful city because she could not live without her lagoon. Her passion for social issues brought her to take part and develop associations for gender equality, grassroots empowerment and sustainable environment everywhere she lived in, finding innovative solution to enhance them with the digital communication. Ilaria loves adventurous travel, finding solutions for sustainable ways to live and experience Venice, voga alla veneta and everything about the digital world.
Gherardo Toso has over 20 years experience managing local businesses in the hospitality industry. Gherardo was born in Murano, where the Toso family dates back to the 16th century, among the first families producing decorative glass. After a period of running a restaurant in Paris, he returned to raise his family to Venice with a commitment to the preservation of a living culture in the city for future generations. As a connoisseur of Venetian cuisine, wines, and gracious hospitality, Gherardo exemplifies sustainable travel practices. Through relationships with Prontopia partners and industry advocacy as a member of the Association of Venetian Hoteliers (AVA), Gherardo hopes to restore Venice to a city accommodating to both resident and traveler.
