The “Picasso on the Beach” exhibit at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum is open through January 7, 2018, every day from 10:00 to 18:00 except for Tuesdays. The exhibit features three paintings, one sculpture, and ten drawings created by artist Pablo Picasso in 1937 on display for the first time publicly. The collection illustrates the influence of Mediterranean themes on the artist’s work.
In celebration of the bicentennial of the Gallerie dell’Accademia, the exhibit “Canova, Hayez, Cicognara: L’Ultima Gloria di Venezia” is on display through April 2, 2018. This collection of over 100 works from the height of the artistic glory of 19th-century Venice.
Try a Jazz aperitivo as part of the Veneto Jazz Festival at the Hotel Splendid on Thursday evenings from November 30 to December 15, 3018. The cost is 15 euros and includes the concert, a drink and appetizers.

My Christmas Venice is a fun program of Christmas events in the sestiere of Dorsoduro from December 2 to 24, with light shows, a Christmas village with food and craft stalls, concerts and performances, kids workshops, and finally, Babbo Natale in a gondola on the canal with lights, where hot chocolate and sweets will be served to children on December 23 at 15:30 at Campo San Vio (Accademia).
