Grocery delivery and other errand services now available from Prontopia in Solana Beach, Encinitas, and Carlsbad.
Prontopia, an online service that provides in-person help when you need it, announced their new grocery delivery and errand services are now available in North County, San Diego. In addition to grocery delivery, Prontopia offers pharmacy pick-ups, dog walking, light tech support, caregiver support and other services when people need a helping hand.
Unlike other tech solutions that can be somewhat anonymous and transactional, Prontopia is built on the idea of community- a community of people helping people. And because Prontopia is based on an individual’s needs, customers are not limited to a set of chain stores- we shop anywhere you shop while adhering to the highest safety standards. Prontopia local assistants are all fully vetted and background-checked for safety, and trained to deliver friendly, compassionate service at a time when a return to humanity is desperately needed.
“I started Prontopia based on my own experience trying to support essential daily needs for my aging parents when I was living abroad,” said Shannon Kenny, Founder and CEO of Prontopia. “Sometimes they just needed someone to help them with simple things like the remote control or opening packages after their caregivers had gone home for the day. Between this and my own challenges traveling alone with two small children, I recognized a widespread need for safe, simple solutions for in-person help exactly when and where it's needed.”
Prontopia services were originally designed to help travelers in need in Italy, where founder Shannon Kenny had lived for 5 years. When the COVID crisis hit Italy hard in March, Prontopia’s local assistants were immediately mobilized to help their local communities by delivering groceries and other essentials to residents stuck in their homes during quarantine. As the crisis expanded to the US, the company launched services in its hometown of Santa Barbara, California in April and has quickly expanded to serve North County, San Diego.
“The feedback we’ve had in Southern California so far has been extremely heart-warming,” says Kenny. “We have several clients that request the same ‘Prontopian’ to help them every time they order, and they are building relationships, even with masks and social distancing.”
This is the ultimate goal- building community, returning to humanity, and making life easier for those that need a little help. Give it a try today by booking here.
