June 4, 2018 and Every Monday – Live Music Events at Paradiso Perduto
Paradiso Perduto is one of the most local famous restaurants in Venice. Their menu is fish-based and they have all main traditional Venetian dishes. Our favorite dish is the “Antipasto Paradiso Perduto” which is a mix of fresh fish and vegetables. When you’ll try their codfish you’ll never go back! You can learn about some of our favorite tips on What to Eat in Venice Italy here.
Every Monday evening Paradiso Perduto hosts a live concert inside their dining room. They invite jazz bands or single artists to perform. The atmosphere is very informal and cozy. Usually it is very crowded so if you are planning to eat there, it’s better to book a table ahead of time. If you are only going to have a drink and listen to music, be ready to sit outside or to stay inside sitting maybe next to strangers:) This is the real Venetian atmosphere: enjoying Venice and its culture together. We invite you to get to know strangers who may help you to get around and to discover interesting facts of daily life in Venice.
We suggest you follow the Paradiso Perduto Facebook page to stay informed of the latest events as they typically post news of the musicians the day before! In Venice, the locals like to enjoy culture slowly and peacefully. But at least you know you can see us there on Monday nights! Paradiso Perduto is a great spot for meeting some locals, enjoying live music, or simply a nice aperitivo at a welcoming spot.

We are pleased to invite you to join the Prontopia team for a beautiful day on the lagoon cleaning plastics and enjoying lunch together. We will be participating in the Plastic Free Venice Initiative promoted by UNESCO and Comune di Venezia with the collaboration of Prontopia, Row Venice, VIVA la Voga, AVA, and Generazione 90. Travelers, locals, partners, and all members of the Prontopia community are invited to spend the day with us on boats and people going around the Lagoon to collect plastic and trash. Your participation will help bring awareness to the massive problem of microplastics gathering in the ocean and damaging our fragile marine environments near and far. Please rsvp to email@example.com. We hope to see you there!

June 22 – July 1, 2018
Do not miss this year’s Biennale of Dance, an International Festival of Contemporary Dance taking place at 5 different venues throughout the city. This year’s theme is “to breathe: a strategy, an act of subversion.” Tickets are 20 euro and can be purchased from various sale points throughout the city.
Until June 3, 2018
During the Biennale di Venezia 2018 , also going on throughout June, the city hosts many related events around the city featuring artisanship and design. We are proud in particular to recommend the Festival del Vetro, a 4-week event from May 3-June 3, 2018, featuring booths on the preservation of glassmaking culture and tradition. Stop by and say hello to our amazing Prontopia Local and Murano glassbead artisan Lisette Caputo, who is one of the organizers this year. The event is distributed among 5 locations: the Museo del Vetro, Palazzo Mocenigo, the Museo Ebraico, Ghimel Garden, and Scoletta di San Giovanni di Bragora.
Don’t forget to sign up for Prontopia before you arrive to connect with a Local Venetian for help getting where you need to go from your local connection in the city.
