  • It closes at 4:30pm from the last Sunday in October to February 15th

  • Half an hour later, as the days start getting slightly longer, from February 16th to March 15th

When spring comes, Rome tourists have more daylight to enjoy the visit:

  • The colosseum closes at 7:15 from the last Sunday of March to August 31st

  • For the whole month of September, you will be asked to leave at 7pm

  • Lastly, from the first to the last Saturday of October, the closing time is 6:30

Whenever you choose to visit the amphitheater, make sure you start your tour at least one hour before the closing time.
